While entries must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 15 months (since January 2024), the technology itself might have been implemented earlier.

Judges will be looking for creative platforms and processes that facilitate seamless eTrading journeys, or digital trading propositions that connect a greater number of like-minded practitioners. Judges will also consider innovative products that are available via eTrading routes and insurers’ or underwriters’ appetite to trade digitally.

eTrading and digital trading is a quickly developing part of UKGI – and judges will expect to see how sector-wide firms are keeping pace with fast moving changes, or even outstripping them with new, problem solving ideas.

This is about a specific initiative or innovation that has been launched within the last three years, which can demonstrate positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2024).

This category is open to UK-based technology suppliers, consultancies, insurance industry partners, insurers, brokers and MGAs that have worked collaboratively with another firm to create, develop and bring to fruition a specific project that has clearly defined parameters and aims.

Judges will be particularly impressed by joint projects that have successfully solved an internal or industry-wide problem, or projects that helped both firms to realise new, beneficial opportunities, demonstrating how true partnership and collaboration should be actioned.

Joint entries are encouraged for this category, although not essential. Testimonials from both firms involved in the joint project are required.

This entry must detail a specific project that has achieved positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2024).

Judges will be looking for creative thinking and innovation in the risk management arena and will be particularly interested to hear from firms that have devised a proposition around a new risk or have developed a new way of helping their clients gain a deeper understanding of their risks.

This category is open to UK-based technology suppliers, consultancies or other business partners that can demonstrate a standout, role model approach to partnership.

Judges will be particularly impressed by those that have worked with an insurer, broker or MGA to successfully solve a problem or help to realise new opportunities. This is about partnerships that can demonstrate positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2024).

The entry must include a testimonial from the insurer, broker or MGA partner.

OPEN FOR NOMINATION 

This award recognises an outstanding individual who is making their mark and has made a real difference to their customers and/or the organisation they work for.

This category is not open for entry but nominations are welcome and can be put forward for consideration by our expert judging panel.

Nominations must be submitted via the online entry system. You’ll need to provide the name of your nominee and tell us in a couple of paragraphs why you think this person deserves to be the Technology Champion of the Year. Please note, all nominations must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 11th June 2025.

The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 15th July and the recipient will be revealed at the awards ceremony on Thursday 18th September.

This award is open to an outstanding individual working within the UK general insurance industry aged 30 or under on the closing date of 11th June 2025.

The recipient will have demonstrated both personal and professional commitment to the industry, enjoying the respect and admiration of their peers over a period of years. In their functional specialism, they will have excelled across the board, enjoying success and demonstrably impacting individuals, businesses and ideally the UK general insurance industry as a whole.

This category is not open for entry but nominations are welcome and can be put forward for consideration by our expert judging panel.

Nominations must be submitted via the online entry system. You’ll need to provide the name of your nominee and details about their work, impact and success. Clear milestones achieved in their professional development will be particularly welcome. Please note, all nominations must be supported by the nominee's manager and received by 5pm on Wednesday 11th June 2025.

The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 15th July and the recipient will be revealed at the awards ceremony on Thursday 18th September.
