Entries should clearly outline how artificial intelligence has been utilised in areas such as enhancing customer service, driving marketing initiatives, new product development and/or achieving improvements within their own organisation. Any information/data showing that targets have been met or exceeded, such as internal KPIs, will be considered favourably by judges.

This category is open to UK-based insurance companies, FCA regulated brokers, MGAs and third party providers embracing new technology to make a real difference to their customers’ experiences.

Entries should clearly outline the impact of new systems and processes with facts and figures that evidence success.

This category is open to UK-based insurance companies, FCA regulated brokers, MGAs and third party providers embracing new technology to make a real difference to their customers’ claims experiences.

Entries should clearly outline the impact of new systems and processes with facts and figures that evidence success.

This category is open to UK-based insurers, brokers, service providers, MGAs and organisations that have used technology to create a solution to specifically address fraud issues. Firms that have worked in partnership on a fraud technology solution can also enter here.

Judges will be looking for forward-thinking approaches and clear results and will be particularly interested in entries that can demonstrate a wide and beneficial impact.

While entries must be able to demonstrate positive results over the last 15 months (since January 2025), the technology itself might have been implemented earlier.

This category is open to UK-based brokers, insurers or MGAs that can evidence excellence in providing cyber insurance solutions, or who have excelled in advising clients on cyber risks and securing tailored solutions.

Judges will be looking for companies that have demonstrated expert knowledge, strong market relationships and a proactive approach to risk management and claims advocacy, as well as those that have shown a strong understanding of evolving cyber risks, innovative policy offerings and outstanding claims handling.

This category is open to UK-based insurers, brokers, MGAs and insurance partners that add value to insurance process and purchasing journeys using data analytics.

Entries should clearly demonstrate how data analytics or data enrichment has been utilised in areas such as enhancing customer service, driving marketing initiatives and/or achieving improvements within their own organisation. Any information/data showing that targets have been met or exceeded, such as internal KPIs, will be considered favourably by judges.

This category is open to UK-based brokers, broker networks, insurers, MGAs and software houses and is designed to recognise and celebrate forward thinking innovation within eTrading and digital trading journeys.

Judges will be looking for creative platforms and processes that facilitate seamless eTrading journeys, or digital trading propositions that connect a greater number of like-minded practitioners. Judges will also consider innovative products that are available via eTrading routes and insurers’ or underwriters’ appetite to trade digitally.

eTrading and digital trading is a quickly developing part of UKGI – and judges will expect to see how sector-wide firms are keeping pace with fast moving changes, or even outstripping them with new, problem solving ideas.

This is about a specific initiative or innovation that has been launched within the last three years, and can demonstrate positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2025).

This category is open to smart, forward-thinking FCA-regulated brokers operating in the UK, as well as their technology partners/providers. Judges will look for evidence of pioneering and compelling technology innovations that have won over customers, enhanced internal working practices or improved business performance.

This is about a specific initiative/innovation, launched within the last three years, that can demonstrate positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2025).

This category is open to smart, forward-thinking FCA-regulated insurers operating in the UK, as well as their technology partners/providers.

This category is open to service providers operating in the UK, as well as their technology partners/providers.

Judges will look for evidence of pioneering and compelling technology innovations that have won over customers, enhanced internal working practices or improved business performance. This is about a specific initiative/innovation, launched within the last three years, that can demonstrate positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2025).

This category is open to all UK-based B2B and B2C startups (launched since 1 January 2023) able to demonstrate that they have won over their clients/customers.

Judges will look for concepts and initiatives that have helped to achieve efficiencies or enhance customer service. Innovation and original business ideas will be looked upon favourably.

This category is open to UK-based technology suppliers, consultancies, insurance industry partners, insurers, brokers and MGAs that have worked collaboratively with another firm to create, develop and bring to fruition a specific project that has clearly defined parameters and aims.

Judges will be particularly impressed by joint projects that have successfully solved an internal or industry-wide problem, or projects that helped both firms to realise new, beneficial opportunities, demonstrating how true partnership and collaboration should be actioned.

Joint entries are encouraged for this category, although not essential. Testimonials from both firms involved in the project are required.

This is about a specific project that has achieved positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2025).

This category is open to UK-based insurers, brokers, MGAs and suppliers that have introduced standout risk management technology since January 2025.

Judges will be looking for creative thinking and innovation in the risk management arena and will be particularly interested to hear from firms that have devised a proposition around a new risk or have developed a new way of helping their clients gain a deeper understanding of their risks.

This category is open to UK-based technology suppliers, consultancies or other business partners that can demonstrate a standout, role model approach to partnership.

Judges will be particularly impressed by those that have worked with an insurer, broker or MGA to successfully solve a problem or help to realise new opportunities.

This is about partnerships that can demonstrate positive results and improvement over the last 15 months (since January 2025).

The entry must include a testimonial from the insurer, broker or MGA partner.

This award celebrates an individual who is driving meaningful technological progress within their organisation or across the wider industry.

Whether they work in IT, digital transformation, data, automation, or innovation, we’re looking for someone who is using technology to make a real difference — improving customer outcomes, empowering colleagues, streamlining processes, or enabling smarter, more resilient ways of working. Whatever their role, this person is raising the bar for what great technology leadership looks like and we want to hear their story.

This category is not open for entry but nominations are welcome and can be put forward for consideration by our expert judging panel.

This award recognises an up and coming individual who is making their mark in technology and innovation within the UK general insurance industry. There is no age limit but it is expected that nominees will have been working within the industry for seven years or less.

Nominees will not only be committed to their own development but will also be helping to shape the future of the sector — whether through fresh thinking, digital curiosity, problem solving, or championing new ways of working. They may be driving smarter use of data, improving digital journeys, experimenting with emerging technologies, or finding innovative solutions that make life better for customers, colleagues, or the wider market. They will have excelled across the board, enjoying the respect and admiration of their peers and demonstrating the potential to become one of the industry’s future leaders.
